Who depicted some mysterious and random lines over a rock formation in Haldeikish, Hunza? Nobody is clear in answering this question. However this amazing rock has become a cultural asset of extreme importance. The art over this rock consists of some figures , inscriptions and carved compositions. According to a strong belief, these Chinese and Sogdian inscriptions belong to Kushana period. The names and pictures of some of the Kushana emperors are also engraved on the sacred rocks of Hunza.
This sacred rock of Hunza in Pakistanis located on the left bank of the Hunza River on a hill top almost a mile away from Karimabad. This amazing cultural heritage is situated on the famous Karakorum Highway and it is a 200 yards long and 30 ft. high rock structure. The archaeologists divide the sacred rock of Hunza in two portions as the upper portion mainly consist of inscriptions in Kharoshthi, Brahmi, Proto-Sarada, Sarada and Sogdian languages. Mostly the names of the Kushana emperors and the names of other emperors Kanishka and Huviskha etc., appear in these inscriptions. Similarly, in one of the Brahami inscriptions, the name of Trukha or Turk king Ramudasa is also mentioned.

In the other portion of the sacred rock of Hunza in Pakistan, there are numerous, in fact thousands of carvings of ibexes which is testimony for being the Ibex as the cultural symbol in this area since Pre-historic era. The figures of Ibexes have shown them in different hunting situations along with some horned human deities playing with ibexes. Natural disasters are also the biggest threat to this wonderful cultural heritage as the sudden uprising of the water level at the Hunza river might sweep away this cultural wonder at any time.

Natural Rock formations are the result of hundreds of thousands of years of weathering and erosion. These rock structures are truly an amazing gift of nature and they are found in many parts of the world. Sedimentary rocks ,Metamorphic rocks or Igneous rocks, these formation may be any of these three types. Although, they might be named differently by the geologists for their recognition.
Some rock formations are so unique for their amazing structures and some of them are matchless for their positioning. Even some rock formations glow due to their astonishing colors. We have tried to bring before you some of the most spectacular rock formations. In many countries, such rocks are considered as the heritage. These are the images of the lovely rocks of the lovely planet ;
Let’s tell you about the amazing national bird of Peru! This fabulous bird lives in the longest mountain range of South America which is known as Andes. The Andes Mountain Range of South America is the world highest mountain range outside Asia. The bird is well known for its big round crest and fantastic orange plumage. This bird is known as Andean Cock-of-the-rock which is scientifically called as Rupicola peruvianus.

Andean Cocks of the rock have black wings with a row of pale grey feathers inside. The Andean Cock-of-the-rock can gain the approximate length of 32 cm (12½ in) and weight of 235 grams (8.7 oz). The female Andean Cock of the Rock is comparatively darker in its color than the male with a shorter crest. The bill is yellowish in the male, and dark with a small yellow tip in the female. The diet of Andean Cock of the rock mainly consists mainly of fruit and insects, although small vertebrates such as frogs or lizards have also been recorded. The most exquisite feature of the Andean Cocks of the Rock is their display of fluttering dance during courtship. They build their nests with mud and stick mostly on the rocks and the female lays only two eggs during the year. The female Andean Cock of the rock incubates the egg for 28 days.

Andean Cock of the rock, the national bird of Peru is mainly threatened with the predators like wild beasts and prey birds. Andean Cock of the rock is evaluated as Least Concern on the IUCN Red List of Threatened Species.
