The dazzling blend of East and West, Katrina Kaif was born in Hong Kong on 16th July 1984 in a British family. Her father was although a British national but in fact he was an Indian Kashmiri while her mother was an English native. Her parents divorced each other when she was quite young, so she was brought up by her mother. Her vagabond childhood revolves around the streets of various countries. From Hong Kong to China and Japan and then in different European countries. She along with her other six sisters continued settling in different parts of the world. They also remained for sometimes in Hawaii and then moved to London. Finally Katrina Kaif’s family moved to India from where this angelic beauty queen started her Bollywood career.

Some of her key performances in the modeling include, walk in London Fashion Week and La Senza etc. In 2003 , when her modeling career was at its peak , she was assigned by Kaizad Gustad in a minor role in “Boom”. Although this movie was not successful but perhaps the flamboyant Katrina Kaif was embedded in the eyes of many movie makers of Bollywood.

Although having a romantic controversy with the Bollywood King , Salman Khan , Katrina Kaif appeared most of the times with Akshay Kumar like in Namastay London , Welcome , Singh is King and Tees Maar Khan etc. Both remained as a leading couple for few years in the Bollywood Industry. Till the release of Kabir Khan‘s terrorism drama New York in which she was casted opposite of John Abraham and with Neil Nitin Mukesh, Katrina Kaif was considered only as glamorous and flimsy actress. But in New York, she proved herself as a mature and outstanding performer and she ws also admired by her critics for her full mark accomplishment in a delicate character. For her tremendous acting in “New York”, she got Filmfare Best Actress Award for 2010.
