Haifa Wehbe is a Lebanese Showbiz star who is the heart beat of the majority of Arab youth for her glamorous style in singing and alluring beauty. She is a versatile performer who started her career as a model and later became an actress then an extremely popular singer. Haifa Wehbe was born in Mahrouna, a small town in Southern Lebanon. Her beauty won here the title of Miss South Lebanon at the age of sixteen.
Haifa Wehbe also won an ancillary title at the Miss Lebanon competition, but she was disqualified later when her secret wedding was disclosed. Her real success started when she performed in a music video clip for the singer George Wassouf. After this an unlimited modeling appearances were made by her and till 1998, Haifa had become the leading fashion model of the Arab world.
The success of Haifa Wehbe in musical arena began with her first album release in 2002, titled Houwa El-Zaman, which became a super hit. Haifa Wehbe keeps her international recognition as she was the first Arab artist to appear on the Italian television channel Rai Uno at Piazza Navona in Rome. The showbiz portfolio of Haifa Wehbe consists of her acting career as she was casted in the Pepsi-produced film Sea of Stars 2008, along with famous stars like Carole Samaha, Ahmad el Sherif, Wael Kfoury, Brigitte Yaghi, and Ruwaida al-Mahrooqi. After this In 2009 Haifa Wehbe was also starred in Dokkan Shehata, an Egyptian drama film which gained massive success in the Middle Eastern region and provided Haifa huge publicity.
